{chorus: their sound is gone out}
  anne babson

“But I say, have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.” – Romans 10:18

The older woman rock star tongues
The younger woman rock star’s buns.
Their sound goes into all the Earth,
And, mercifully, it is done.

The football murderer in white
Range Rover floors it in his flight.
His sound goes into all the Earth,
And he lands in handcuffs that night.

The candidate’s hat in the ring,
He says a stupid, racist thing.
His sound goes into all the Earth,
And he vanishes in polling.

Twelve men, some women, travel fast
To tell one story. It is passed.
Its sound goes into all the Earth,
And for two thousand years it lasts.
