The curling petals of a tiger
lily rip against your
straight hair and lips.                        If I could
lick either way a wave laps
the coastline, your eyes
would shine
against the foam. The dotted henna
of the tattooed flowers
                                   reflects
the wrinkled face
of a            sticky
stamen of toothless screams.
I know ivory shines
too bright yet
