HOLLY ELIZABETH DUNLAP will be graduating from University of Colorado, Boulder in August with an M.A. in Creative Writing, specializing in poetry. She has been studying with Lorna Dee Cervantes, who is also her mentor, and was in charge of her thesis. Holly appreciates Latin culture, humor, and poetry. The poet Cesar Vallejo is a huge influence in her work. Holly grew up in the south, mainly Tennessee and Alabama. She embraces folklore, the blues, her American Indian heritage, and the other culturally rich parts of her growing up in the South. She has taught creative writing and poetry workshops for two years at CU. She has been published in Auburn University's, The Circle (four poems), University of Colorado's Square One (two poems), and on Boulder's local buses in the public poetry project (one poem).
